Position: Civil Engineering Technician

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Melonba NSW 2765

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join their team located in Melonba, New South Wales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of drawings, plans, and detailed designs for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Interpreting project blueprints, specifications, and guidelines to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Conducting site surveys and assessments to collect measurements, soil samples, and other relevant data.
• Understanding work assignment instructions, implementing suitable methods, and choosing the appropriate tools and equipment.”
• Supervising construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, schedules, and safety standards.
• Estimating materials, labor, and other resources required for construction projects and assisting in budget preparation.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate project execution.
• Inspecting completed work to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Organizing and maintaining project documentation, including progress reports and records of materials used.
• Performing tests on construction materials to ensure durability, strength, and suitability for use.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of maintenance plans for buildings and other structures.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher in Engineering
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering.
