Salary: $73,150 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Rouse Hill NSW 2155 – Worksites Sydney Metro Area

Our client ACAC Group is a leading construction company specializing in Residential and Commercial projects which includes on-site structural steel fabrication.  They take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and innovative solutions to our clients.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fitter-Welder to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal structures and components to meet project specifications and safety standards. You will be working on jobsites throughout the Sydney Metro Area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on various metal components.
• Measure, cut, and fit metal parts before welding.
• Operate tools and equipment such as grinders, torches, and drills.
• Inspect and test welded surfaces for structural integrity.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in relevant field
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Fitter-Welder in a construction or fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Trade qualification or relevant certification is preferred.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
